Common questions
How do I start a session?
Open Sessions and tap the plus button. Choose cash or tournament, fill in the game and buy-in, and save. You can return to an active session to record rebuys and its final result.
How do I add or correct a place?
Open Places, choose a location, and tap Edit location. You can rename it or find an address using Apple Maps. Location changes apply to all sessions at that place; the dialog shows how many. Addresses stay as they are unless you explicitly change or remove them.
How do I sync between devices?
Use the same Apple Account for iCloud on your devices and turn on iCloud sync in Poker Log’s Settings. After changing the toggle, fully quit and reopen the app to apply it. Sessions save locally even when a connection is unavailable. Last sync shows the last successful upload or download, not confirmation that another device has received every change.
How do I back up my log?
In Settings, choose Export CSV or JSON, then JSON. Save the file somewhere you can find again. Use Import CSV or JSON to restore it. Ordinary imports skip session IDs already in your log.
Which CSV files can I import?
Poker Log imports the session CSV format from Poker Analytics. Review the time zone, missing amounts, and break units before importing. Poker Log’s own CSV export is for spreadsheet analysis; use JSON for a complete backup.
Why are some results excluded from statistics?
A completed session with missing result information appears under Results needing review. Fill in the missing amounts to include it in profit and rate calculations. Combined hours count overlapping time once and exclude recorded breaks.
Which currencies are supported?
Poker Log currently supports USD. It does not convert between currencies.
